Job description

Overview

Tracsis Events, a growing organisation that values its people, is seeking a meticulous and proactive Payroll Officer. This role involves taking full ownership of delivering accurate, timely, and reliable payroll services for all employees and workers.

Responsibilities

  • Complete comprehensive payroll processing for both fortnightly and monthly payroll cycles.
  • Calculate salaries, including bonuses, commissions, deductions, and statutory payments with precision.
  • Handle onboarding, offboarding, and contract changes in compliance with company policies.
  • Reconcile payroll data prior to processing and ensure timely payment distribution.
  • Submit Real Time Information (RTI) reports to HMRC accurately and within set deadlines.
  • Address payroll queries from staff and management clearly and supportively.
  • Maintain up-to-date payroll records and generate reports to support Finance and leadership teams.
  • Assist with audits, ensure compliance, update payroll systems, and contribute to process enhancements.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in payroll functions.
  • Solid knowledge of UK payroll legislation, statutory payments, and HMRC procedures.
  • Familiarity with payroll software, preferably Sage.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and excellent organisational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
  • Advantages include a CIPP qualification, experience managing multiple payrolls, knowledge of pensions auto-enrolment, or involvement in payroll projects.
