Job Overview

The role involves executing painting maintenance tasks on Air Arabia’s aircraft during both Base and Line Maintenance activities. The technician must adhere to prescribed standards and ensure all work is properly logged in compliance with Air Arabia policies and aviation regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Engineer-in-Charge to thoroughly understand assigned task cards, including priorities, documentation, and safety advisories before initiating work.
  • Conduct scheduled aircraft painting maintenance adhering strictly to task card instructions, ensuring all necessary documentation, components, and equipment are appropriately used.
  • Execute paint repairs following approved methods and guidelines as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
  • Procure, utilize, and return tools and equipment responsibly from stores in good condition post-task completion.
  • Provide regular progress updates to the Engineer-in-Charge and promptly report any challenges concerning aircraft condition or work execution.
  • Uphold safety protocols rigorously, ensuring mandatory precautions are met before and during maintenance activities.
  • Proactively safeguard self and others in the work area through proper use of ground support equipment and protective gear.
  • Apply human factors awareness by following work interruption procedures and ensuring adequate lighting and accessibility during maintenance and inspections.
  • Offer reliable support and information to team members and other departments involved in scheduled maintenance checks.
  • Represent Air Arabia positively by demonstrating technical professionalism to external personnel and customers.
  • Be conscientious of maintenance costs by optimizing use of time and materials and minimizing waste, damage, and repeat work.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Completed training in Aircraft Painting.
  • Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension) for technical communication.
  • Competent in using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to secure a UAE Driver’s License.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in maintenance on large commercial aircraft, preferably Airbus models.
  • At least two years’ work history in a Base Maintenance Workshop setting.
  • Demonstrable basic knowledge of Airframe and Engine Maintenance principles and practices.
