Role Overview
The Packaging Administrator will join the New Product Development (NPD) team in Cahir, responsible for coordinating packaging activities to ensure that products meet customer, regulatory, quality, and operational standards. This role involves managing packaging documentation, supporting packaging development projects, and liaising with external suppliers to ensure smooth packaging operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update packaging specifications, artwork files, and technical documents.
- Enter and manage packaging data accurately in company systems.
- Coordinate approval workflows for packaging modifications, new product launches, and artwork revisions.
- Assist in overseeing packaging projects from initial concept through deployment.
- Communicate with packaging suppliers regarding orders, specifications, lead times, and delivery schedules.
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Help source alternative packaging materials when necessary.
- Maintain packaging records according to company policies and regulatory demands.
- Ensure packaging complies with relevant food industry standards.
- Support audit activities by supplying precise documentation and records.
- Work collaboratively with production, quality assurance, procurement, and logistics teams to resolve packaging issues.
- Investigate packaging defects and assist in implementing corrective measures.
- Generate reports and analyze packaging data to support business decisions.
Requirements
- Leaving Certificate or equivalent educational qualification is required.
- Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Packaging Technology, or related fields is preferred.
- Experience working in administration, supply chain, manufacturing, or packaging environments.
- Proven skills in record keeping, documentation, and report maintenance.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Capable of handling multiple priorities and meeting deadlines effectively.
- Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
