About The Role
Join M&S Opticians as an Optometrist where you will be instrumental in providing outstanding eye care and customer service. Registered with the General Optical Council (GOC) and the National Performers List, you will perform detailed eye examinations using advanced equipment like OCT technology. Your clinical expertise will include diagnosing eye diseases such as glaucoma and cataracts, prescribing glasses, and detecting general health issues such as diabetes. You will also play a significant role in training and mentoring the team to boost their knowledge and confidence, all while ensuring customers receive a smooth and professional experience.
Responsibilities
- Carry out comprehensive eye tests to evaluate visual health
- Diagnose and manage ocular conditions and identify systemic health problems
- Offer expert advice on vision issues and recommend suitable eyewear
- Apply commercial insight to suggest eyewear tailored to customer needs and lifestyles
- Contribute to team growth through ongoing coaching and supervision
- Deliver excellent customer service ensuring a comfortable and professional environment
- Collaborate with the store manager to support business development
- Adhere to professional and regulatory requirements
