Overview
Begin your professional journey with IAG's Graduate Program, designed to prepare you for an adaptable and promising future. IAG, the largest general insurance provider across Australia and New Zealand, encompasses well-known brands such as AMI, NZI, and State Insurance. Our program offers graduating students a chance to make a tangible difference from their first day by working on meaningful projects.
Located in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland), the program begins on 9 February 2027 and spans 18 months. Throughout this time, participants will rotate through departments including Transformation, Data & AI, Digital, and Claims. This provides exposure to strategic initiatives, cutting-edge technologies, and complex business challenges that influence IAG’s future directions.
You will join as a permanent full-time employee from the start, with a guaranteed permanent position upon completing the program. Key Responsibilities
- Engage in strategic projects delivering significant business and customer outcomes.
- Support initiatives related to AI, automation, and digital transformation that reshape operational workflows.
- Collaborate across multiple teams to analyze challenges, identify opportunities, and develop actionable solutions.
- Implement agile methodologies to enhance value delivery and continuously refine processes.
- Utilize data analytics and insights to guide decision-making and provide informed recommendations.
- Introduce fresh perspectives and innovative ideas to challenge current practices and foster innovation.
Qualifications and Attributes
- Possession of a university degree or higher earned in 2024 or 2025, or currently enrolled and expecting graduation by the end of 2026; degrees from any discipline are welcomed, with a preference for those including AI-related coursework.
- A minimum credit average of 65% or above.
- Citizenship of Australia/New Zealand or valid work authorization for New Zealand covering the program duration.
- Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and cooperative team player mindset.
- Curious, adaptable, quick learner with an eagerness to explore artificial intelligence and emerging work methods, comfortable with navigating change.
- Availability to work at least two days per week at the Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland) NZI office.
