Opportunity Overview
Pacific Talent Partners is exclusively managing the recruitment of an independent Non-Executive Director to join the Board of a leading publicly listed software company focused on property workflow automation and digital asset management. The company holds a strong, established position within its sectors and is undergoing a strategic transformation to disrupt the market through modern integrated digital infrastructure.
Role Description
The appointed Non-Executive Director will provide strategic oversight and directly engage with shareholders, delivering commercial insights, governance on technology, and active mentorship. This role demands a commercially astute and tech-savvy leader who is ready to engage deeply beyond formal meetings. You will advocate rigorous scale-up strategies, guide executives, and ensure the company turns significant enterprise partnerships into sustainable market dominance and shareholder value.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and advise on the growth-phase commercial acceleration strategy, transitioning the business into a disciplined software scale-up with improved pricing models, strong customer economics, and increased recurring revenue.
- Provide governance on complex multi-layered enterprise partnerships, managing risks related to joint delivery, commercial dependencies, and data-sharing arrangements with major institutional partners.
- Direct the strategic deployment of integrated transactional platforms, monitoring risk management, operational delivery, and compliance as financial infrastructures are embedded within workflow systems.
- Evaluate and track the operational readiness for large-scale customer transitions from legacy software, ensuring frameworks minimize disruption, preserve customers, and maintain market confidence.
- Contribute actively to compliance with public listing requirements, cyber security resilience, and data privacy, while coaching leadership toward a delivery-focused, sales-oriented organizational culture.
Core Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience scaling enterprise software or B2B SaaS companies during growth, with strong knowledge of customer success, channel partnerships, and operational expansion.
- A robust commercial mindset with practical expertise in pipeline management, account planning, and mentoring executive leadership in building scalable sales-driven cultures.
- Solid operational understanding of transactional platforms, API integrations, digital security compliance, or financial software architectures managing complex, high-availability workflows.
- Proven ability to oversee major strategic alliances, manage contract risks, enforce service-level agreements, and prevent disputes between tech firms and tier-1 institutional clients.
- Exemplary integrity and independent judgment, exhibiting a collaborative, low-profile style, capable of constructively challenging executives while nurturing board cohesion.
Additional Information
Applications are handled with strict confidentiality and candidates should possess unrestricted Australian work rights. Detailed organizational information will be provided to shortlisted candidates. This search is overseen by Mateo Villa and Elliot Long.
