Job description

Position Overview

We are recruiting qualified Traffic Management Operatives including 12AB Operatives, Foremen, and IPV Operatives for a 12-month contract based in Penrith, Cumbria. The role involves working both day and night shifts on a rotating schedule with weekend availability and opportunities for overtime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and advise management to ensure smooth execution of traffic management schemes.
  • Supervise and coordinate a team, ensuring all tasks are conducted safely and project goals are met.
  • Conduct traffic counts and communicate with clients and subcontractors on timings and incident reports.
  • Mentor and assist new trainees within the team.

Candidate Requirements

  • Possess valid 12a/b, Foreman, and IPV traffic management qualifications.
  • Knowledgeable about Chapter 8 traffic management regulations.
  • Hold a full driving license with no more than 6 points; any previous driving bans must have been lifted at least five years prior.
  • Have a current safety-critical medical certificate.
  • Ability to pass mandatory drug and alcohol screenings, which are conditions of employment.
  • Demonstrate a positive, proactive attitude alongside adaptability, thoroughness, and flexibility.
