About the role
Persistent is hiring a seasoned .NET Backend Developer to build and support scalable cloud-first applications with Azure. This position calls for strong practical experience in C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, REST APIs, SQL Server, and Microsoft Azure, along with a solid grasp of modern application design and DevOps workflows.

- Locations: Hyderabad and Pune

Key responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain backend systems using C# and .NET Core/.NET 6+.
- Create and improve RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Build cloud-native solutions using Microsoft Azure services.
- Design efficient database structures, write SQL queries, create stored procedures, and model data effectively.
- Deliver secure, dependable, and high-performance software.
- Contribute to architecture reviews, code walkthroughs, and technical design discussions.
- Work closely with product owners, architects, QA teams, and other stakeholders.
- Assist with CI/CD pipelines and release automation.
- Investigate production defects and perform root-cause analysis.
Required expertise
- Strong hands-on experience with C#, ASP.NET Core, and .NET Core/.NET 6+.
- Experience building Web APIs and RESTful services.
- Working knowledge of SQL Server.
- Experience with Entity Framework Core.
- Understanding of microservices-based architecture.
- Exposure to Azure DevOps pipelines and CI/CD practices.
- Knowledge of Docker and containerization.
- Experience with Azure Functions.
Education and eligibility
Applicants should hold a B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering. Degrees in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related fields are also relevant as per the role description.
