Multi Skilled Operative - Social Housing Refurbishment

About The Role

This permanent position seeks a versatile Multi Skilled Operative to join a team focused on refurbishing and preparing social housing properties for new tenants. The role involves working across various trades to ensure void properties are restored to excellent condition. You will have a company van and fuel card, with paid on-call responsibility on a rotational basis.

Location & Hours

Based in the Portsmouth, Hampshire area, covering Southampton, Bournemouth, Portsmouth, and Salisbury. The working schedule is Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week, with an on-call duty approximately one week in seven.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out refurbishment and repair works on vacant social housing properties.
• Perform carpentry and joinery tasks including door hanging, adjustments, and replacement of doors.
• Refurbish kitchens and bathrooms.
• Install and repair UPVC doors and windows.
• Handle basic plumbing work and installations.
• Apply painting, decorating, wall, and floor tiling finishes.
• Install flooring including cap and cove types.
• Utilize multi-trade skills to complete general repairs and maintenance.
• Manage work schedules via handheld devices to meet deadlines.
