Centre for Academic Excellence (CAE)

CAE serves as Peepul’s nucleus for driving instructional quality, ensuring that academic content, teaching methodologies, and program delivery maintain excellence and consistency as the organization scales. The centre supports data-led continuous improvement alongside collaboration with government and program teams to design pragmatic, scalable educational solutions.

Role Overview and Key Responsibilities

• Investigate and apply research-backed mathematics teaching methods, including conceptual progressions tailored for foundational and grade-level learning.
• Develop and assess blended learning materials such as teacher guides, lesson plans, presentations, scripts, storyboards, and assessments.
• Create student-focused learning resources including practice sets, concept maps, problem banks, and presentations.
• Guarantee content precision, conceptual understanding, and curriculum alignment.
• Utilize classroom data and field feedback to refine math teaching practices and implement necessary adjustments.
• Leverage program insights to codify best practices within academic content design.
• Establish robust planning and project management processes to deliver quality outputs within timelines and budgets.
• Engage with program teams, monitoring and evaluation staff, subject experts, and field personnel for smooth project execution.
• Forge and maintain effective partnerships with government stakeholders.
• Collaborate with external math experts and nonprofit organizations to integrate specialized knowledge.
• Facilitate capacity building for government teams to ensure enduring program sustainability.

Candidate Profile

• Preferred academic qualifications include degrees in Mathematics, Elementary Education, STEM Education, or related areas; an advanced degree is an advantage.
• Minimum six years of relevant experience in designing or reviewing mathematics learning materials, assessments, or teacher training content are required; classroom teaching experience in elementary or middle school mathematics with strong pedagogical knowledge is highly desired.
• Excellent analytical, editing, writing, and communication abilities are essential, along with aptitude for cross-functional teamwork and stakeholder engagement.
• Fluency in English is mandatory, and working knowledge of Hindi is preferred.
