Job Overview
The Matchday Officer plays a vital role in ensuring the flawless planning, coordination, and execution of all activities during matchdays at Al-Qadsiah Club. This position is key to delivering a safe, organized, and positive experience for players, officials, staff, media, and fans, adhering strictly to league regulations and club policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise all operational aspects on matchdays, including readiness of the stadium, control of access points, and efficient management of spectator movement.
- Ensure compliance with league and federation rules as well as safety standards before and during matches.
- Perform pre-match inspections covering the stadium, pitch environment, dressing rooms, media zones, and fan areas.
- Serve as a primary liaison among club departments, security, medical personnel, stewards, and external vendors.
- Communicate with referees, match commissioners, visiting teams, and league officials to coordinate match requirements.
- Support the club’s media team in managing media and broadcasting operations during events.
- Assist in implementing safety and security plans for matchdays and help manage emergency responses and incident documentation.
- Monitor the behavior of spectators and identify operational risks during matches.
- Help brief and deploy matchday staff and volunteers, ensuring they understand their specific roles.
- Contribute to post-match duties by assisting with reports on incidents, crowd attendance, and operational outcomes and taking part in debriefings to improve future matches.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Sports Management, Event Management, Business Administration, or related areas.
- Experience in stadium management, matchday operations, or organizing large events is beneficial.
- Familiarity with football regulations and matchday procedures.
- Excellent organizational talents and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills and interpersonal aptitude.
- Capability to perform effectively under pressure in a dynamic environment.
- Detail-oriented problem-solving approach.
- Availability to work during evenings, weekends, and public holidays as needed.
