Job Overview

Based in Carlow, this position is for an 11-month fixed-term contract as part of a leading global pharmaceutical company’s manufacturing team. The role involves operating in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulated environment ensuring the safe and compliant production of pharmaceutical products. The schedule includes a 4-cycle shift pattern with a salary of €37,000 plus a 33.33% shift premium.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and continuously monitor production machinery through MES, DCS, and PLC control systems.
• Assist in various manufacturing operations, prepare equipment, and manage materials effectively.
• Perform cleaning and upkeep of cleanroom environments to maintain sterility standards.
• Conduct regular inspections, preventative maintenance, and carry out basic troubleshooting on equipment.
• Adhere strictly to GMP guidelines ensuring compliance with safety and quality protocols.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects, help in investigations and participate in root cause analysis.
• Support documentation efforts including updating SOPs, assisting with training, and maintaining operational records.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum educational qualification: Leaving Certificate or its equivalent.
• Prior experience in manufacturing settings, preferably within GMP-compliant environments.
• Familiarity with sterile manufacturing processes is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail combined with effective problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication capacity and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and general computer applications.
