Role Overview
This opportunity seeks an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Manager to oversee engineering initiatives involving New Product Introduction (NPI), automation, facility management, and sustaining high-volume production operations within a dynamic electronics manufacturing setting. The manager will spearhead efforts to enhance manufacturing efficiency, scale operations, and lead technical strategy across the site.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead manufacturing engineering activities starting from design through to production scale-up phases during NPI projects.
- Drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) efforts, establishing scalable and efficient manufacturing workflows.
- Support Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), process verification, control plans, and smoothly transition products into production.
- Ensure timely delivery of NPI projects, adhering to budget and achieving target yield standards.
- Contribute to the automation strategy development and its implementation in manufacturing and test areas.
- Identify and implement opportunities to boost productivity, enhance quality, and optimize operational effectiveness through automation solutions.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to advance manufacturing operations systematically.
- Assist with facilities growth, optimize layout designs, and oversee infrastructure project execution.
- Provide technical expertise to resolve complex production challenges and manufacturing escalations efficiently.
- Collaborate with departments such as Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations to heighten manufacturing outcomes.
- Manage and mentor a proficient Manufacturing Engineering team, fostering a culture grounded in accountability, teamwork, innovation, and operational excellence.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electronic, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
- Bring 7 to 10 years of experience in high-volume electronics manufacturing environments.
- Have held engineering leadership positions for 3 to 5 or more years.
- Demonstrated expertise in NPI industrialization, automation initiatives, manufacturing process advancement, and production support.
- Exemplary stakeholder management and analytical problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience overseeing capital expenditure projects and championing continuous improvement activities.
Skills Required
- Competency in NPI and process development methodologies.
- Automation implementation and manufacturing workflow enhancement.
- Proficiency with PFMEA and process validation techniques.
- Strong ability in production troubleshooting and ongoing support.
