Role Overview

The Manager of Transportation Finance will ensure accurate and timely management of freight and tariffs cost planning, variance analysis, budgeting, and inventory valuation. This position requires collaboration across multiple teams to promote cost efficiency and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage transportation finance aspects including preparing and maintaining costs associated with inventory, freight, and duties for both inbound and outbound shipments.
• Collaborate with logistics and procurement teams to ensure day-to-day freight costs are accurate and optimized.
• Analyze cost deviations, identifying discrepancies and recommending corrective measures.
• Support budgeting and forecasting by assisting in long-term planning, annual budgets, and rolling forecasts, collecting logistics and supply chain input, and monitoring budget adherence with KPI tracking.
• Conduct cost variance tracking and reporting for inventory, inbound and outbound freight, and tariffs.
• Assist in root-cause analysis for significant cost variances and contribute to monthly plant performance cost KPI reports.
• Support new product costing by working with NPD and logistics teams on landed cost estimates, business case preparation, and design phase cost tracking.
• Maintain cost targets through benchmarking and market trend validation.
• Prepare comprehensive cost reports and dashboards presenting trends, savings, and benefits from localization.
• Ensure the integrity of costing data within ERP systems (SAP CO module), including maintaining cost master data accuracy, network, and routing setups for new products, and conducting periodic audits.

Qualifications and Experience

• 10 to 15 years of experience in product costing or plant finance within manufacturing, preferably automotive or electric vehicle sectors.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, ideally SAP, and advanced Excel skills for data analysis.
• Professional credentials such as CA, CMA, MBA in Finance, or equivalent qualifications.
