Manager, Global IT Operations

Position summary

POET Technologies is looking for a Manager, Global IT Operations to take ownership of daily IT operations oversight, infrastructure rollouts, and delivery of cross-regional projects across its operating sites. Reporting closely to the Global IT Director, this person will help keep IT services stable and reliable across locations, while freeing the director to concentrate on architecture, security, HRIS, and higher-level systems work. The role is important to strengthening regional IT execution as the business expands.

What you will do

• Act as the central point for day-to-day IT operations, infrastructure deployment, and multi-region project delivery across APAC.
• Oversee office IT infrastructure, systems, and network operations in Singapore, Malaysia, and other regional locations.
• Introduce and improve IT automation to streamline workflows, reduce manual effort, and standardize practices across regions.
• Plan and implement infrastructure setup for both new and existing offices so each site is ready to support business needs.
• Provide hands-on operational support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution to maintain continuity across all sites.
• Manage delivery of IT initiatives by keeping timelines on track, scopes clear, and stakeholder expectations aligned.
• Work with regional teams, vendors, and the Global IT Director to keep operations aligned with IT strategy, security priorities, and infrastructure plans.
• Support the Global IT Director by handling operational execution so they can focus on architecture, security, HRIS, and system-wide initiatives.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure management, or similar functions; prior team leadership experience is preferred.
• Practical, hands-on experience with infrastructure deployment, network operations, and daily IT support.
• A strong record of completing IT projects and initiatives within defined timelines and scope.
• Exposure to supporting IT operations across Singapore, Malaysia, or the wider APAC region is preferred.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities, with the confidence to coordinate across teams and regions.

Additional information

This is a full-time onsite position based in Singapore, Singapore. The role is focused on operational execution and regional coordination rather than architecture ownership.
