About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned professional to take charge as Manager - Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABC) at our bank in Doha, Qatar. The incumbent will lead the establishment and enhancement of the Group's ABC compliance framework, ensuring alignment with global standards and legal requirements. This role is key to fostering a robust ethical culture and mitigating financial crime risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and continuously improve the bank’s Anti-Bribery & Corruption framework and initiatives.
  • Execute comprehensive bribery and corruption risk assessments across the enterprise and review the adequacy of existing controls.
  • Offer expert advice on matters including gifts and hospitality policies, charitable support, conflicts of interest, and third-party dealings.
  • Ensure strict adherence to applicable regulations and leading international practices relevant to anti-bribery and financial crime compliance.
  • Detect control weaknesses, propose remedial measures, and assist in executing corrective action plans.
  • Support investigations pertaining to bribery and corruption incidents, including conducting root cause analyses and reporting.
  • Work collaboratively with Internal Audit, Risk Management, Legal, Human Resources, and operational teams to reinforce the control environment.
  • Develop and present training sessions and awareness campaigns on anti-bribery and corruption obligations.
  • Provide assistance during regulatory audits and compliance reviews focused on ABC requirements.
  • Lead, mentor, and cultivate a high-performance team dedicated to accountability and ongoing enhancement.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Law, or related fields; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Between 8 and 12 years of experience in the banking or financial services sector.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Financial Crime Compliance, including roles in Compliance, Risk Management, Auditing, or control functions.
  • Proficient knowledge of Anti-Bribery & Corruption, AML/CFT, sanctions compliance, fraud detection, and investigatory procedures.
  • Comprehensive understanding of regulatory frameworks, governance, and international best practices for financial compliance.
  • Experience with risk assessments, control evaluations, policy creation, and monitoring compliance activities.
  • Relevant professional certifications in Anti-Bribery & Corruption, Financial Crime Compliance, or Fraud Risk Management are advantageous.
