Logistics Specialist

Role overview

An opportunity is open for a Logistics Specialist to help manage the daily flow of logistics activity, including shipments, inventory transfers, and operational tracking, in a fast-moving supply chain setting.

The position suits someone with 2 to 3 years of background in logistics, warehousing, transport, fulfilment, or broader supply chain work who is comfortable troubleshooting issues and keeping operations on track.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the coordination of inbound and outbound shipments.
• Monitor orders, stock movements, and delivery performance.
• Work closely with carriers, third-party logistics providers, warehouse staff, and other internal teams.
• Investigate and help resolve transport, shipment, and warehouse-related problems.
• Keep inventory records accurate and up to date.
• Assist with cycle counts, stock reconciliation, and maintaining inventory accuracy.
• Prepare reports and analyse operational data to identify patterns and improvement opportunities.

Required background

• Previous experience in logistics, transport, warehousing, fulfilment, or supply chain operations.
• Solid understanding of shipment tracking, stock control, and order fulfilment processes.
• Experience collaborating with carriers, 3PL partners, or warehouse teams.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and comfort working with operational data.
• Clear communication, strong organisation, and practical problem-solving ability.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with warehouse management systems or transport management systems.
• Exposure to SAP, Blue Yonder, or comparable platforms.
• Experience handling international shipments or trade paperwork.
• A qualification related to Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business.

Contract details

The assignment is offered at €200 per day and runs for 12 months. The role is remote within Ireland.
