About the Role
Our client is a leading global technology platform headquartered in the United States, with substantial operations throughout Asia. They seek an experienced Legal Counsel to join their established legal team within a publicly listed technology company specializing in platforms such as e-commerce, digital, and social media.
This newly created group-level position focuses predominantly on corporate legal matters, alongside involvement in key projects and compliance activities. The role also involves participating in strategic mid-term business decisions and providing legal support related to financing and corporate risk management globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle approximately 70% corporate legal work, focusing on international business and governance.
- Manage 30% of responsibilities related to projects and compliance oversight.
- Support global initiatives concerning risk and compliance management.
- Engage regularly in financing matters and capital markets activities within the business.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- 5 to 10 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in legal practice.
- A strong academic background from an overseas university, preferably complemented by an LLM degree.
- Training and qualification from a Tier 1 law firm.
- Proven expertise in capital markets and mergers & acquisitions (M&A) law.
- Fluency in both English and Chinese languages is mandatory.
