Job Overview
Sunbulah Group is seeking an experienced Legal Advisor to join our team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The role involves comprehensive legal support across various aspects of the company's operations, including contract management, trademark registration, litigation, and corporate legal advising within the FMCG sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on contracts pertinent to the company's business activities.
- Standardize company contracts and documents, ensuring current standards are regularly reviewed and updated.
- Manage trademark registrations both inside and outside Saudi Arabia, monitor their validity, and handle renewals, including resolving disputes related to trademarks.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws, regulations, and rules affecting company operations locally and internationally, providing guidance on their impacts.
- Offer sound legal advice and counsel to company administration and key personnel on all legal matters.
- Respond to legal inquiries by delivering informed opinions, answers, and recommendations.
- Identify potential legal risks and devise appropriate mitigation measures.
- Oversee and follow up on litigation cases with internal teams and external legal counsel.
- Address and resolve legal challenges by reviewing issues and proposing solutions.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with settlements, agreements, and court rulings.
- Advise on corporate legal matters and contribute to risk assessments to minimize potential liabilities.
- Perform other related legal duties for Sunbulah Group and its subsidiaries, including research on statutes, legal precedents, and documentation.
- Prepare and review various legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, complaints, wills, contracts, correspondence, and reports.
- Manage administrative legal functions including filing and maintaining an electronic document management system.
Requirements
- Must hold a bachelor's degree in law with a valid license; a master's degree is preferred.
- At least 6 years of relevant experience within the FMCG industry, reputable law firms, or multinational corporations.
- Fluent in both English and Arabic languages with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills are essential.
- Candidate must demonstrate professionalism, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
