About Pinewood Healthcare
Pinewood Healthcare is a prominent developer, manufacturer, and marketer of healthcare products, employing over 300 staff across two Irish locations in Tipperary and Dublin. Founded in 1976 serving the renal care market, it later joined the Wockhardt Group, an Indian multinational pharmaceutical and biotechnology company with a presence in multiple countries including the USA, UK, Ireland, and others.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in ongoing training covering laboratory protocols, GLP/GMP regulations, Health and Safety, and Manual Handling.
- Conduct development and validation analyses as assigned by Laboratory Supervisors or Managers.
- Prepare necessary reagents and standards for testing; ensure proper labeling and documentation of preparations.
- Submit test data and outcomes to Laboratory Supervisors and promptly report any deviations or out-of-specification results.
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness and safety; immediately report any equipment issues or defects.
- Dispose of expired reagents in a timely manner.
- Once fully trained, support in training other analysts on test methods and laboratory instruments.
- Review work of other analysts and assist in training less experienced colleagues when qualified.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related discipline with at least one year of experience in GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Experience with HPLC and GC analysis is advantageous.
- Comprehensive knowledge of contemporary cGMP guidelines, Health and Safety, and COSHH regulations.
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.
- Experience in cleaning/process/method validation testing is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Adhere to ALCOA principles and all organizational policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Demonstrate excellent technical writing skills and strong organizational and time management capabilities.
- Be an effective team player capable of collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Comfortable functioning in a fast-paced, regulated manufacturing setting.
