Job description
Role Overview
The Key Account Manager (KAM) at Everllence plays a pivotal role in cultivating and expanding robust partnerships with critical clients, ensuring business growth alongside exceptional customer satisfaction. This involves a detailed understanding of customers' installed machinery, primarily steam turbines and turbo compressors, and the capability to coordinate effectively with internal departments to successfully execute projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain strong relationships throughout the customer’s management hierarchy, acting as the primary liaison across various client departments involved in ongoing projects with GTS.
- Drive and oversee all projects including site maintenance, spare parts supply, and emerging opportunities, ensuring timely and efficient communication among all stakeholders.
- Support the sales function by identifying fresh business prospects, maximizing revenue, and achieving profitability goals.
- Manage the full lifecycle of project delivery, from defining scope and planning to execution and finalization.
- Provide consistent status reports and updates to both internal teams and clients to maintain transparency and alignment.
- Conduct recurring business evaluations and client interactions to measure satisfaction and uncover improvement areas.
- Identify additional work opportunities within existing accounts and collaborate with Sales and Project teams to develop and secure proposals.
- Work collaboratively with Sales & Projects and Operations teams to reach collective objectives and uphold superior customer service standards.
- Prepare progress reports and forecasts regularly for all stakeholders.
- Implement process improvements in account management, documentation, and record keeping to enhance operational efficiency.
- Adhere strictly to the company’s Code of Conduct, processes, procedures, and health & safety regulations relevant to the role.
- Perform other duties as reasonably assigned while promoting the company’s reputation and commercial interests.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A minimum of 10 to 15 years' experience in the Oil & Gas sector, with significant involvement in key turnaround projects related to steam turbines and turbo compressors within large entities.
- At least 5 years of experience in similar roles or related fields.
- In-depth technical knowledge of steam turbines and turbo compressors.
- Exceptional communication skills capable of negotiating complex project matters independently and interacting closely with clients.
- Strong interpersonal abilities for building relationships at all organizational levels.
- Fluency in English (speaking, reading, writing); proficiency in German is advantageous.
- Understanding of environmental laws and compliance requirements.
- Capability to influence contractors to enhance safety, quality, and production standards.
- Comprehensive grasp of both technical and commercial aspects of the business.
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Proven leadership skills to drive change across diverse business units, functions, and cultures.
- Expertise in fostering customer satisfaction through communication, transparency, and integration.
- Experience working within multicultural and international organizations is preferred.
