Position Summary
The Key Account Executive is accountable for meeting designated sales objectives at individual stores and ensuring effective implementation of Agthia's sales and merchandising strategies. This role is essential for boosting the brand's visibility, availability, and footprint within assigned retail outlets by discovering growth opportunities and negotiating with store leadership for prime product placement and promotional initiatives. Collaboration with merchandisers and coordination with trade marketing and customer service teams are also key duties to maintain performance and compliance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet sales targets and KPIs at store level to drive overall business growth for Agthia.
- Ensure the Must Stock List (MSL) is adequately distributed and products remain available to avoid stock-outs.
- Maintain accurate distribution reports, track performance, and implement necessary corrective actions.
- Comply with National Key Account agreements at the store level.
- Implement priority business initiatives including promotional activities, product launches, pricing changes, and BDA agreements.
- Enhance primary and secondary product visibility, negotiate in-store activations, and facilitate trade spend execution.
- Manage approval requests for free-of-charge and discount merchandise equipment, monitor area expenses, and coordinate internally.
- Identify growth and sales opportunities within assigned locations, aligning with Key Account Manager or Supervisor action plans.
- Offer support to merchandisers in order preparation and maintain the standard execution of in-store activities.
- Participate in weekly review meetings to discuss performance, highlight challenges, and recommend improvements.
- Analyze shelf space allocation, distribution coverage, sales figures, and market share for designated accounts.
- Assist in the identification and development of merchandiser talent to enhance team effectiveness.
- Support receivables collection efforts when required to meet company credit policy and manage Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) targets.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or related disciplines.
- Between 3 to 4 years of sales experience, preferably in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector.
- Experience in Key Account management, Modern Trade, or Sales Executive roles within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region is preferred.
- Knowledge and practice of in-store execution, merchandising, and customer relationship management.
Skills and Competencies
- Sound understanding of the GCC retail and key account market dynamics.
- Proven ability to collaborate with store managers and negotiate effectively.
- Familiarity with sales operations, distribution management, and merchandising techniques.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong dedication to continuous learning and measurable career progression within Agthia.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Customer-focused, results-driven mindset with the ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
