Role Overview

The Junior General Accountant will assist the Finance department by ensuring accurate maintenance of financial records, supporting daily accounting tasks, and promoting adherence to company policies and accounting standards. This entry-level position is ideal for motivated accounting professionals seeking to enhance their expertise and contribute to financial precision and operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately record and maintain financial transactions, including journal entries and general ledger accounts.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Prepare, reconcile, and investigate discrepancies in bank statements.
• Support the preparation of financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Help with payroll processing and validate employee timesheets.
• Maintain organized financial documentation and filing systems.
• Contribute to budget preparation, fixed asset management, and audit procedures.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.
• Collaborate with senior accountants on daily finance operations and special projects.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 0 to 2 years of experience in accounting or finance; fresh graduates are welcome.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software;
• Experience with Odoo ERP is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of financial accounting principles and reporting standards.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• High accuracy and attention to detail.
