Position Summary

We are seeking a Janitor responsible for comprehensive cleaning and upkeep of designated spaces within buildings or across multiple client locations. Given the variable nature of janitorial work, flexibility to accommodate specific client requirements is essential.

Key Duties

• Clean and maintain various floor types through sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming.
• Comply with safety procedures when handling chemical cleaners and power tools to avoid damage to surfaces and objects.
• Ensure restrooms, meeting rooms, hallways, and entrances are clean and well-maintained.
• Dispose of trash appropriately, including operation of compactors for certain waste materials.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using suitable cleaning agents and equipment.
• Perform spot cleaning and assist with carpet extraction and shampooing tasks.
• Restock paper goods and hygiene supplies as needed.
• Follow the established housekeeping schedule consistently.
• Occasionally operate heavy-duty cleaning machinery such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers.
• Carry out additional tasks as assigned to meet work scope or client demands.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or at least six months of janitorial experience.
• Willingness to complete on-the-job training.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Capability to understand and follow instructions accurately.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial roles.
• Understanding of custodial procedures and commercial cleaning protocols.
• Knowledge of floor maintenance methods, including buffing and waxing.
• Experience with industrial cleaning or building maintenance.
