Role Overview
This position is for an experienced Itinerary Manager who can lead travel planning, build detailed itineraries, and coordinate trips end to end. The role focuses on creating efficient travel experiences, managing arrangements with vendors, and ensuring every journey runs smoothly from the planning stage through completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain detailed travel schedules that reflect customer preferences, budget limits, and trip goals.
- Arrange flights, stays, ground transport, activities, tours, and other travel services.
- Study destination details, market trends, and travel experiences to design strong travel plans.
- Work closely with hotels, airlines, tour operators, transport providers, and local partners.
- Review existing itineraries and improve them for better customer experience, efficiency, and value.
- Respond quickly and professionally to itinerary revisions, disruptions, and customer requests.
- Make sure all bookings and travel plans align with company policies, customer expectations, and service standards.
- Keep travel records, schedules, and booking information accurate and up to date.
- Partner with sales, customer service, operations, and travel teams to deliver a seamless journey.
- Use customer feedback and travel performance data to refine itinerary offerings.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Tourism Management, Hospitality, Travel Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field is preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in itinerary planning, travel operations, travel consultancy, tourism, or a similar area.
- Prior exposure to complex trip planning, group travel, or corporate travel programs is preferred.
- Good understanding of destinations, travel logistics, booking workflows, and broader travel industry practices.
- Excellent planning, organizing, and time-management skills.
- Strong accuracy and the ability to handle several travel arrangements at once.
- Clear communication skills, customer-service orientation, and sound problem-solving ability.
- Experience using travel booking software, CRM systems, and itinerary tools is an added advantage.
- Comfortable working with urgent requests and shifting priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Capable of working independently in a remote setup.
