Intermediate Interior Designer

About the Role

U31 Design is seeking an experienced Intermediate Interior Designer to join our dynamic, design-oriented studio based in Toronto, Ontario. We specialize in luxury residential, multi-family, and hospitality projects, and we are looking for a candidate with 5 to 7 years of interior design experience, particularly focused on condominium and multi-residential environments. This role offers a chance to lead project deliveries and advance toward a Senior Designer position.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead development of design concepts and space planning for multi-residential projects.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, and project teams to ensure cohesive project execution.
• Prepare client presentations and maintain thorough project documentation.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior interior design staff.
• Contribute actively to all phases of projects from concept to completion.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of 5–7 years working in an interior design firm with emphasis on condominiums and multifamily residential projects.
• Strong conceptual thinking skills combined with expertise in space planning and interior composition.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), and rendering/visualization tools.
• Ability to produce high-quality rendered floor plans, elevations, and 3D visualizations.
• Familiarity with Revit is desirable but not mandatory.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
• Knowledge of local building codes and interior design practices relating to residential and condominium projects.
• Motivated self-starter who thrives in a collaborative team environment and dedicated to design excellence.
