Position Overview

This role, reporting to the Regulatory Manager, focuses on supporting international cosmetic product registrations and market requests. Responsibilities include creating detailed regulatory overviews for cosmetics, documenting procedures for each notification and registration step, and assisting across product development, claims review, packaging compliance, Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), and sustainability initiatives. Collaboration with internal teams and external partners is key.

Primary Responsibilities

• Facilitate product registrations and notifications across multiple international markets including India, GCC, EU, UK, Australia, and Mexico by preparing, reviewing, and submitting necessary documents, tracking progress and identifying process improvements.
• Coordinate with consultants, distributors, and manufacturers to ensure adherence to compliance standards and timely completion of registrations.
• Support Regulatory Manager by researching upcoming regulations for cosmetics, OTC products, and packaging, and collaborating cross-functionally to implement necessary actions.
• Assist with registration and reporting related to Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) programs.
• Handle regulatory inquiries from retailers concerning e.l.f. Beauty products.
• Monitor regulatory changes and updates, and engage in trade association committees as needed.

Qualifications

• Between 1 and 3 years of experience in cosmetic industry regulatory affairs.
• Science degree (BS or higher) required.
• Comprehensive understanding of cosmetic regulatory requirements, focusing on color cosmetics and skincare covering ingredients, labeling, product claims, notification, registration, and packaging.
• Familiarity with international regulatory frameworks for ingredients, finished products, claims, packaging, and artwork compliance.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively and independently to achieve business goals.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Comfortable using web-based databases and submission portals.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Adobe, and PowerPoint.
• Self-driven with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary for this position varies based on factors such as location, experience, and qualifications. Total compensation includes the base pay, potential performance bonuses up to 200% of target, and equity options.
