Intelligence Analyst

Role Description

As an Intelligence Analyst at ZeroFox Threat Analysis Center (ZTAC), you will analyze vast quantities of data from various sources such as social media and dark web forums to extract meaningful intelligence. Your work will span multiple threat domains including physical security, cyber risk, geopolitical events, reputational concerns, and compliance. You will be responsible for researching threats, assessing credibility, and preparing actionable BLUF-formatted reports for clients without the need for follow-up. Responsibilities include responding to incident alerts, supporting recurring intelligence reports, briefing clients directly, and collaborating to enhance intelligence collection processes.

Expectations First 90 Days

• Lead at least one recurring client deliverable independently.
• Complete onboarding certifications specific to ZTAC.
• Produce BLUF-style intelligence reports approved by management without edits.

Required Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in OSINT and social media investigations, including executive threat assessments or investigation work.
• Ability to evaluate the credibility, significance, and relevance of information across multiple sources clearly in writing.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, specifically with BLUF-style reporting and direct client briefings.
• Familiarity with at least one online investigative tool such as Whois, Ping, or Traceroute, along with proficiency in Google Suite.
• Experience navigating surface web platforms, blogs, IRC channels, message boards, and deep/dark web environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience analyzing threat actors, vectors, or trends and making actionable recommendations.
• In-depth knowledge of deep/dark web operational tradecraft and common platforms used by threat actors.
• Project management experience and success in managing client relationships.
• Some college-level coursework in cybersecurity, intelligence studies, or homeland security.
• Specialized knowledge of threat landscapes such as cybercrime, fraud, physical security, hacktivism, or geopolitical risk.

Work Environment and Culture

ZTAC operates in a fast-paced environment requiring independent judgment on the importance of threats without a predefined queue. The role demands comfort and experience with deep/dark web research, briefing clients live, and operating across multiple threat domains without narrow specialization.
