Intellectual Property Lead

About the Role

We are looking for a driven intellectual property expert excited to expand and refine their skills within a dynamic and technology-driven setting. This position offers a valuable opportunity to enhance skills in IP prosecution, portfolio management, and drafting while collaborating closely with a skilled team on meaningful IP initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct patent drafting and prosecution with a focus on engineering fields (excluding pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors).
• Perform product searches, create Evidence of Use (EoU) charts, and carry out teardown and reverse engineering tasks, all grounded in engineering expertise.
• Handle patent and trademark prosecution processes for India, the US, and Europe, including document preparation and official correspondence management.
• Oversee the complete patent and trademark filing workflows, ensuring accurate submission and compliance tracking of portfolio deadlines.
• Assist with prior art searches such as Freedom to Operate (FTO), EoU, infringement analyses, claim chart preparation, and invalidity assessments.

Required Skills

• Deep expertise in at least one of these areas: patent prosecution and portfolio management, patent drafting, or prior art search and evaluation, with familiarization in the other two domains.
• A keen willingness to develop professionally and embrace continuous learning.
• A results-driven mindset paired with accountability and ownership of assigned duties.
• Agility to adjust swiftly to changing priorities and work environments.

Qualifications and Experience

• Approximately 3 to 6 years of experience in the intellectual property arena.
• Academic background in technical disciplines such as science, physics, or mathematics.
