Role Overview
Sharp Brains is hiring an Information Technology Support Specialist to deliver remote end-user support from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on maintaining desktop and laptop environments, resolving technical issues, and ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations across user devices and common workplace applications.
Core Responsibilities
- Provide full-spectrum technical assistance for desktops and laptops, including diagnosis and resolution of hardware, software, and network connectivity problems.
- Carry out IMAC tasks — install, move, add, and change — along with break/fix support for end-user equipment.
- Oversee the desktop device lifecycle, covering setup, configuration, patch management, OS imaging, and vendor-coordinated hardware replacement.
- Use tools such as SCCM, Intune, and ServiceNow for asset management, ticket handling, and remote support activities.
- Install approved software, apply updates, and manage security patching in line with internal IT standards.
- Support users remotely and at the desk with EUC tools and applications such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, and VPN clients.
- Maintain security compliance by monitoring antivirus status and enforcing desktop policies.
- Deliver VIP support and serve as the main onsite point of contact during major outages or urgent escalations.
- Support printers, scanners, and other peripheral devices through troubleshooting and routine maintenance.
- Assist with Active Directory operations, basic account administration, and smart hands support.
- Keep clear records of incident fixes, hardware inventory, and internal technical documentation.
- Work comfortably in Windows environments, with exposure to mobile device support and basic handling of Mac devices.
- Follow ITIL-based processes for incidents, problems, and service requests in a corporate setting.
