Job Overview

  • Prepare necessary export documentation such as Export Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading draft, and other related paperwork for both pre and post shipment phases.

  • Handle hazardous cargo by understanding hazardous classes, packing groups, and prepare Dangerous Goods Declarations accordingly.
  • Coordinate communications and activities with the factory, Customs House Agents (CHA), forwarding agents, transporters, shipping lines, and customers.
  • Negotiate freight charges for air and sea transport with forwarders, shipping lines, or CHA.
  • Verify and approve shipping documents including shipping bill checklists, bill of entry checklists, airway bill drafts, and bill of lading drafts.
  • Coordinate booking of flights and vessels with freight forwarders.
  • Arrange courier shipments through services such as DHL and FedEx.
  • Possess knowledge of Letter of Credit shipments.
  • Review and comply with SCOMET and Narcotics requirements for every shipment.
  • Resolve queries from export customers in a prompt and efficient manner.
  • Arrange transportation for Full Container Load (FCL) shipments and factory stuffing.
  • Apply online for Preferential and Non-Preferential Certificates of Origin.
  • Manage multiple shipments simultaneously with efficiency.
  • Dispatch final shipment documents to customers and track cargo until delivery.
  • Maintain accurate and updated records of all export shipments, including Electronic Goods Manifest (EGM) and RODTEP benefits.
  • Understand and generate RODTEP scrips, and handle related DGFT and ICEGATE applications.
  • Ensure appropriate packing based on shipment nature, especially for hazardous goods.
  • Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, including accurate HS codes, tariffs, and taxes.
  • Keep detailed records and reports related to import data and compliance documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with logistics, finance, and procurement teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Stay informed about regulatory changes affecting imports and exports as well as internal company policies.
