HVAC Mechanical Engineer

About the Role

Fabemon is seeking a proficient HVAC Mechanical Engineer responsible for the design, implementation, and oversight of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning systems across commercial, residential, industrial, and infrastructure projects. The role demands comprehensive knowledge of HVAC technology alongside hands-on experience in project installation, testing, commissioning, and client collaboration to uphold quality, safety, and ensure on-time delivery.

Responsibilities

• Develop HVAC system designs by performing cooling load calculations, designing ductwork, piping, ventilation, and selecting appropriate equipment.
• Create HVAC layouts, detailed shop drawings, and as-built documentation.
• Examine project specifications, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and technical drawings to ensure compliance.
• Supervise HVAC installations onsite and coordinate effectively with civil, electrical, plumbing, and other MEP teams.
• Monitor project timelines and budgets to guarantee timely completion within financial constraints.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues encountered during installation and execution phases.
• Perform testing, balancing, and commissioning of installed HVAC systems, ensuring proper functionality and operational efficiency.
• Guarantee adherence to quality standards and safety regulations through regular site inspections and preventive strategy implementation.
• Interact with consultants, contractors, vendors, and suppliers; evaluate technical submittals and approve materials.
• Participate in client meetings to offer technical expertise and maintain project support throughout all phases.
• Maintain thorough documentation including daily to monthly progress reports, inspection records, commissioning documentation, and coordinate procurement activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Profound knowledge of HVAC components such as ducting, chilled water piping, VRF/VRV systems, AHUs, FCUs, chillers, ventilation, and DX systems.
• Experience with HVAC design, installation, testing, and commissioning processes.
• Familiarity with ASHRAE, NBC, IS codes, and relevant HVAC standards.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications accurately.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
• Preference given to candidates skilled in HVAC load calculation tools like HAP or Elite.
• Strong capabilities in project management, coordination, communication, and problem solving.
• B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering; HVAC Design or MEP certification is advantageous.
• 3 to 8 years of pertinent experience involving HVAC system design and workplace execution.
• Exposure to commercial buildings, hospitals, data centers, residential tall buildings, industrial complexes, or infrastructure projects preferred.
