About the Role
OMS360 is seeking a dedicated People & Culture Generalist to join our expanding team. This position provides comprehensive involvement across all facets of the employee life cycle—from onboarding new hires to assisting managers with complex people-related challenges. Ideal candidates relish the diversity of human resources duties, such as conducting I-9 compliance audits one day and guiding managers through constructive feedback conversations the next.
You will collaborate closely with the People & Culture team on various functions including talent management, employee training and development, workforce engagement, compensation strategies, and employee relations, while acting as a dependable initial contact for employees across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and manage HR initiatives spanning compensation, benefits administration, leave management, employee relations, recognition programs, and training development.
- Ensure the accuracy and reliability of employee records, HRIS databases, and lifecycle documentation including offer letters and termination paperwork.
- Act as the primary resource for employee inquiries regarding HR documentation, files, or employment process; escalate sensitive issues when necessary.
- Oversee new hire orientation and confirm all onboarding paperwork is properly completed; process employment status updates such as separations, leaves, and transitions.
- Assist with compliance tasks including I-9 audits, EEO-1 reports, VETS data submissions, background checks, and eligibility verification.
- Monitor and record adherence to mandatory trainings, certifications, and licensure requirements.
- Advise managers on effective feedback methods, employee relations issues, and fostering collaborative team environments.
- Support workplace investigations concerning harassment, discrimination, or misconduct in coordination with the HR team.
- Conduct employee exit interviews and manage recognition initiatives.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation, HR trends, and best practices to continuously revise company policies and standard operating procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline is essential.
- Preferred minimum of three years of practical experience in human resources roles.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail and capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- High levels of discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information.
- Practical understanding of employment laws and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and aptitude for quickly mastering HRIS and talent management platforms.
