Position Overview
The HR Operations Manager plays a vital role in leading the people operations function. This hands-on leader manages a team focused on HR system efficiency, compliance, and process improvement to support over 3,000 employees. The position is fully onsite in Clearwater, Florida, partnering closely with payroll, IT, HR leadership, and other departments to ensure an exceptional employee experience.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high-performing HR operations team by providing guidance, coaching, and accountability.
- Act as the primary administrator for HRIS systems, overseeing configuration, security roles, compliance, and data integrity.
- Design and refine HRIS workflows to streamline hiring, onboarding, employee lifecycle management, and compliance.
- Manage and improve the entire onboarding process to ensure it is seamless, compliant, and engaging for new employees.
- Implement audit processes and internal controls to guarantee data accuracy and adherence to regulations and best practices.
- Identify and drive initiatives that improve operational efficiency, minimize manual work, and support scalable growth.
- Collaborate with Payroll, IT, Compliance, and HR leadership to align system settings and operations with business goals and legal standards.
- Document HR systems procedures, workflows, security configurations, and standard operating practices.
- Support HR reporting and analytics efforts by maintaining data quality and delivering insights to leadership.
- Stay informed of HRIS developments, industry trends, and changes in employment law affecting HR operations.
Qualifications
- Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related discipline preferred.
- At least five years of progressive experience in HR operations or HRIS roles.
- Minimum two years of experience managing or leading a team.
- Must be available to work onsite full time in Clearwater, FL—remote or hybrid arrangements are not available.
- Proven expertise as an HRIS system administrator, including security role management, workflow design, and audits.
- Experience with Paylocity platform is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with Jira or similar project/workflow tools is beneficial.
- Strong knowledge of HR compliance, auditing, and employment law requirements.
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills enabling collaboration across organizational levels.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $85,000.
