About the Role
The HR Generalist is instrumental in delivering global HR service excellence by providing comprehensive support throughout the entire employee lifecycle. This position integrates thorough knowledge of HR operations with digital tools to ensure an employee experience that is both efficient and focused on people.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle all aspects of employee lifecycle management including hiring, job transitions, leaves of absence, and terminations with accuracy and timeliness.
- Drive reduction in Tier 1 query volumes by promoting self-service and AI-driven solutions for improved efficiency and enhanced employee engagement.
- Resolve complex Tier 2 employee and manager inquiries across various platforms such as calls, video, email, HR portals, and ServiceNow.
- Accurately execute HR transactions using systems like Workday and ServiceNow, maintaining adherence to compliance and governance standards.
- Develop and manage HR documentation using standardized templates, supporting ongoing enhancement of AI-generated documents to improve speed and quality.
- Review AI-generated HR content to ensure it meets accuracy, policy compliance, appropriate tone, and quality standards.
- Consistently apply global HR policies across processes while ensuring alignment with local regulations.
- Guide and empower people managers in utilizing HR processes, tools, and AI assistance effectively, offering judgment support for complex or sensitive situations.
- Champion a human-centered approach that balances personalized interaction with digital technologies.
- Deliver empathy-driven support handling sensitive issues professionally to provide a seamless employee and manager service experience.
- Promote a culture of excellent service, responsiveness, and empathy within People Solutions.
- Facilitate adoption of self-service HR portals and AI-enabled HR tools to enhance user experience.
- Identify, propose, and contribute to continuous improvement, automation, and process optimization initiatives within HR operations.
- Support standardized global process implementation and maintain governance of HR knowledge content, including AI knowledge ownership.
- Ensure data accuracy across HR systems and support reporting and analytics to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with various HR stakeholders and global teams to align service delivery and participate in HR transformation projects.
Qualifications and Experience
- Strong background in HR Shared Services, People Operations, or Customer Care with a focus on employee lifecycle management.
- Proficiency in HR systems such as Workday, SAP, and ServiceNow with experience in case management.
- Demonstrated involvement in process improvement, transformation, or automation projects.
- Familiarity with global HR standards, compliance, and working within matrixed, international environments.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and management capabilities.
- Use of data analytics to drive operational improvements and insights.
- Fluency in English; additional languages considered a plus.
Location and Employment Details
This position is based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India and is a full-time, onsite employee role.
