Position Overview
This position is essential in delivering both operational and analytical support for pharmacy dispensing and fulfillment processes within the organization. It works closely with Performance Operations analysts to enhance capabilities in developing, automating, and validating operational metrics derived from various dispensing data sources. The role operates within a HIPAA-covered entity framework, facilitating patient-level operational analytics under strict governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, validate, and maintain operational metrics based on platform usage and pharmacy fulfillment data to improve automation and accuracy.
- Ensure the consistent availability, quality, and compliance of dispensing data across various workstreams.
- Design and implement operational dashboards for internal use within the covered entity.
- Monitor and report on performance metrics, providing stakeholders with timely and precise updates.
- Participate in creating comprehensive dispensing and reporting views that support data filtering, grouping, and financial reporting.
- Conduct analyses using SQL and Excel to assess operational effectiveness and identify trends or opportunities.
- Translate complex data into actionable insights for business stakeholders.
- Support resolution of issues using data-driven approaches in collaboration with cross-functional teams, including handling urgent operational concerns.
- Contribute to the documentation of key performance indicators and data strategy.
- Manage protected health information (PHI) and other sensitive data in strict accordance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
- Adhere to data governance rules ensuring manufacturer and covered-entity data segregation, particularly concerning partner and patient information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, healthcare administration, data science, or a related field is required.
- Proficient in SQL and Excel, with experience in at least one statistical programming language such as Python or R.
- Familiar with healthcare, pharmacy, or claims/dispensing operational data.
- Between 1 to 3 years of relevant experience within a HIPAA-covered entity.
- Capable of completing and maintaining necessary data privacy, HIPAA, and compliance training and handling PHI according to strict protocols.

- Excellent communication skills for simplifying complex information.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across departments and influence outcomes without direct reporting authority.
- High adaptability and learning agility in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
- Working knowledge of HIPAA/PHI management and data governance especially around manufacturer versus covered-entity data separations.
