Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and execute a comprehensive operational strategy aligned with strategic business goals, emphasizing scalability, efficiency, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage and supervise essential operational areas such as payments, treasury operations, reconciliations, card operations, back-office, and general business operations.
• Take ownership of operational performance by setting clear metrics, controls, and initiatives to uphold top service standards.
• Lead process improvements, automation, and operational transformation using structured methodologies, advanced technology, data analysis, and AI-driven solutions.
• Design and enforce standardized operating procedures to boost consistency, efficiency, and operational transparency.
• Build and mentor a high-achieving operations team fostering accountability, teamwork, and continuous enhancement.
• Collaborate closely with compliance, risk management, and financial crime units to ensure operational activities adhere to regulatory standards and internal policies.
• Develop and maintain operational risk frameworks encompassing monitoring, reporting, controls, and readiness for audits.
• Work cross-functionally with leaders from technology, data, HR, and client-facing teams to ensure seamless alignment of the business.
• Oversee the entire digital asset settlement process including reconciliation, wallet handling, custody controls, and crypto-fiat operational workflows.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible experience managing operations within banking, fintech, financial services, or wealth management sectors.
• Proven expertise in managing and scaling diverse operational functions such as payments, treasury, settlements, and business processes.
• Strong skills in process enhancement, operational transformation, automation, and constructing scalable workflows.
• Comprehensive knowledge of financial regulations, compliance, AML standards, and financial crime prevention protocols.
• Experience leading cross-disciplinary teams and building high-performing operational units.
• Outstanding leadership, communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strategic orientation with the aptitude to convert business targets into actionable operational strategies.
• Valued experience in cryptocurrency, blockchain, or digital assets operational environments.
• Adeptness at operating in fully remote, global settings requiring autonomy and collaborative working.
