Overview
This leadership role, based in Luxembourg but fully remote, is focused on advancing and scaling the operational infrastructure of a global digital financial services firm. The Head of Operations will lead vital functions to ensure effective, compliant, and resilient business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement a broad operations strategy aligned with company goals, emphasizing scalability, quality, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
- Supervise key operational domains, including payments, treasury, reconciliations, card and back-office operations, and overall business processes.
- Define operational KPIs, enforce strong controls, and lead ongoing initiatives to sustain high service quality.
- Drive enhancements through process optimization, automation, and cutting-edge technologies such as AI and data-driven solutions.
- Standardize operating procedures to boost consistency, transparency, and efficiency.
- Build and nurture a skilled operations team promoting accountability, collaboration, and continuous growth.
- Partner with compliance, risk, and anti-financial crime units to guarantee adherence to laws and internal policies.
- Develop and maintain operational risk management frameworks, including monitoring, reporting, controls, and readiness for audits.
- Work closely with technology, data, human resources, and client-facing leaders to align operations with business needs.
- Oversee the entire digital asset settlement process, covering reconciliation, wallet control, custody safeguards, and crypto-fiat operational workflows.
Candidate Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years progressive leadership experience within regulated financial sectors such as banking, fintech, financial services, or wealth management.
- Proven ability to manage and scale diverse operations including payments, treasury, settlements, and business processes.
- Deep knowledge of process improvement, operational transformation, automation, and workflow scalability.
- Strong understanding of financial regulatory frameworks, AML, compliance, and financial crime prevention measures.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and cultivating high-performance operational groups.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, leadership abilities, and analytical problem-solving skills.
- A strategic orientation capable of translating high-level business objectives into executable operational initiatives.
- Experience with blockchain, cryptocurrency, or digital asset operations highly valued.
- Ability to operate autonomously and collaboratively in a fully remote, global setting.
- Must possess a dedicated workspace and reliable high-speed internet access.
