Overview
The Head of Intelligence is tasked with overseeing the collection, evaluation, and communication of security intelligence for Dangote Cement's operations across Nigeria and Pan Africa. This leadership role focuses on identifying, assessing, and addressing security risks to protect the organization's assets, activities, and reputation.
Responsibilities
- Lead intelligence operations by gathering, analyzing, and distributing security information for all Dangote Cement sites.
- Deliver daily intelligence reports to the Group Head of Security regarding operational security matters.
- Monitor and evaluate potential security risks and threats impacting Dangote Cement's activities in the region.
- Create and execute intelligence-driven security strategies to reduce risks and strengthen operational stability.
- Partner with Plant Security Heads, business units, and Social Performance teams to synchronize intelligence efforts with organizational priorities.
- Develop and sustain effective collaborations with government security bodies such as Police, Military, Customs, and intelligence agencies.
- Manage intelligence sharing among stakeholders to improve situational awareness and response mechanisms.
- Conduct comprehensive threat assessments ahead of significant plant activities, movements, and strategic operations.
- Analyze diverse data sources to provide insightful intelligence that informs strategic and operational decisions.
- Keep abreast of geopolitical, social, and security trends that may affect company operations.
- Prepare detailed intelligence reports, presentations, and briefings for senior management.
- Ensure the efficient operation and continual enhancement of security intelligence systems and processes.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Security Studies, Social Sciences, or related fields required.
- Master's degree in a relevant discipline is advantageous.
- Security-related professional certifications such as CPP, PSP, PCI, CPO, CSS, or APP are preferred.
- Background in military or paramilitary service is beneficial.
- At least 10 years of pertinent experience in a security role within a government agency.
- Demonstrated history of effective collaboration with senior executives and security partners.
