Role Overview

This leadership role demands a commercially savvy individual to spearhead OpenSolar's APAC business, with full responsibility for the region's commercial success, market growth, and strategic initiatives. As an integral part of the global operations leadership, the Head of APAC will oversee all facets of revenue growth, including business development, sales and support (Pro Experience), strategic partnerships, and marketing efforts. Key Duties

  • Formulate and drive the long-term commercial strategy for APAC, ensuring sustainable revenue and market expansion.
  • Lead senior regional teams across Business Development, Sales & Support, Strategic Partnerships, and Marketing Services, fostering a culture centered on customer success and commercial excellence.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Extensive commercial leadership within distributed energy, clean or climate technology sectors in Australia.
  • In-depth understanding of the residential and small commercial energy landscape, including relationships with solar installers, distributors, manufacturers, financiers, and software platforms.
  • Strong awareness of the energy transition, digital platforms, value chains, and strategic partnership development.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Science, Engineering, Commerce, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven success in building brand presence and growing market share.
  • Minimum of 12 years in Sales, Marketing, or Business Development with a consistent record of meeting or surpassing sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation capabilities.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems such as Hubspot and other sales tools.
