Head of Accounting

Role Overview

The position entails leading the accounting functions at Airbus Helicopters Arabia within Riyadh. This role requires expert handling of financial statements, audit coordination, accounting operations, compliance adherence, and strong collaboration across departments and the parent group.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit timely financial statements and reports for group consolidation including ICART and FACTS+.
• Coordinate regularly with the Group Consolidation team and review joint ventures and general ledgers with detailed analyses.
• Ensure full compliance with Airbus financial processes and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct monthly deviation analysis on financial statements to support internal and head office finance inquiries.
• Lead the planning, scheduling, and coordination of the annual internal and external financial audits, liaising effectively with auditors and cross-functional departments such as Finance Control, Operations, Procurement, and HR.
• Assist the Tax Manager by supporting the completion of annual income tax returns and analyzing relevant revenue and expenditure items including local and foreign purchases and subcontracting costs.
• Oversee banking payments, treasury activities, and daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and completeness in all outputs.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, championing professional growth and ensuring timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing in collaboration with Controlling for cost center and project expenses/revenue bookings.
• Participate in payroll-related projects and manage withholding tax applications while controlling payables, receivables, and monitoring overall cash flow.
• Continuously upgrade accounting standards, processes, and policies in response to organizational changes and regulatory updates.
• Support tax assessments and comply with tax authority mandates alongside the Tax Manager.
• Facilitate and monitor intercompany balances, reconciliations, and clearing strategies, maintaining effective communication with Group teams to enhance procedures.
• Promote and support regional finance collaborations and initiatives under the One Roof Finance program.
• Demonstrate strong commitment to maintaining integrity and managing compliance risks critical to company success and reputation.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is mandatory; CPA or SOCPA qualifications are highly preferred.
• At least 10 years of accounting experience, including working in multinational and local cultural business environments.
• In-depth knowledge of finance, accounting principles, internal controls, IFRS standards, local taxation, and commercial laws.
• Proven analytical skills to interpret financial data and prepare comprehensive reports and projections under tight deadlines.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and SAP is essential.
• Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to develop and lead a dynamic accounting team effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fluent in English and Arabic, with comfort in multinational cultural settings.
