About Airport Development Group
Airport Development Group (ADG) manages a variety of infrastructure assets across the Northern Territory, including airports, hotels, aviation facilities, and commercial properties. ADG focuses on investing in, developing, and managing long-term infrastructure to support growth in the Territory and broader Northern Australia.
Role Overview
Are you passionate about working outdoors with a flair for lawn care and landscaping? We are currently looking for a skilled Groundsperson to join our facilities team at Darwin International Airport. This practical role involves maintaining the expansive airport grounds, ensuring safety, and enhancing visual appeal by applying your landscaping expertise and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain airport grounds through mowing, pruning, painting, and general beautification tasks
- Operate various landscaping machinery safely, including commercial mowers, trimmers, tractors, and power tools
- Escort contractors within airside operational zones according to protocols
- Replace and repair airside furniture as necessary
- Monitor the condition of key airport infrastructure such as pavements, signage, drainage, and markings; report findings
- Provide emergency response support when on call
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience operating landscaping equipment and power tools safely
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team
- Highly motivated with a keen eye for detail and proactive attitude
- Understanding of sustainable land management practices
- Willingness and availability to participate in on-call schedules
Preferred Qualifications
- Training or knowledge related to Work Health and Safety (WHS)
- Relevant licenses for machinery operation or driving
