Role Overview

In the role of General Assistant (Cleaner), you will be instrumental in maintaining the club's high standards. Your duties include ensuring cleanliness and hygiene across gym floors, studios, changing rooms, and communal areas to create a safe and welcoming space for all members. This part-time position involves a 20-hour weekly commitment and suits individuals who take pride in their attention to detail and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean and maintain all gym-related areas including fitness zones, studios, changing facilities, showers, and shared spaces.
• Sanitize gym equipment, commonly touched surfaces, and touchpoints to uphold hygiene standards.
• Carry out scheduled cleaning activities and conduct daily compliance checks.
• Empty waste bins and manage the proper disposal of rubbish.
• Keep track of cleaning supplies and communicate restocking needs.
• Promptly report any repair needs or health and safety issues within the premises.
• Collaborate with the wider club team to ensure an exceptional experience for members.
• Maintain excellent cleanliness, presentation, and safety consistently.

Candidate Profile

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in cleaning, housekeeping, or facility maintenance.
• Familiarity with cleaning procedures, hygiene standards, and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Background in leisure, hospitality, retail, or commercial environments.

Training will be provided to successful candidates.
