Gardener - Fixed Term Position

Position Summary

Join the enthusiastic team at Richard Hadlee Retirement Village in Belfast, Christchurch as a Gardener on a full-time, fixed-term basis running from 28th September 2026 to 28th March 2027. This Monday to Friday role from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM involves maintaining and enhancing the resort-style gardens enjoyed by residents, their families, and staff.

Key Duties

• Collaborate within a team to care for and beautify the gardens and grounds.
• Maintain high standards of garden appearance ensuring safety across all outdoor areas including bowling greens and water features.
• Provide support to colleagues in a cooperative working environment.

Candidate Profile

• Prior experience in gardening or landscaping roles is essential.
• Strong problem-solving abilities paired with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional, amiable attitude.
• Horticultural qualifications are favored.
• Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand due to immigration regulations.
