Freelance Digital Designer

About the Role

A restaurant client is looking to hire a versatile Digital Designer on a temporary, on-demand basis with a possibility of permanent employment for candidates local to Toronto. This position is fully remote, with a preference for local candidates in Toronto, Ontario. The workload is approximately 5 to 10 hours weekly, contingent on business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Create visually appealing email marketing campaigns through accessible design platforms.
• Design compelling visual content and social media graphics for multiple channels.
• Produce print materials and assist with other special design projects as necessary.
• Maintain brand consistency ensuring all designs align with established guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams to clarify project goals and requirements.
• Handle several design projects at the same time while meeting tight deadlines.
• Adapt designs effectively in response to feedback and changing project needs.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• 3 to 5 years of experience in digital and graphic design at a mid-level capacity.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating proficient skills across digital and print design.
• Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Experience in using email design tools that offer drag-and-drop functionality.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure despite sporadic workload fluctuations.
• Knowledge of design tailored for a regional market, preferably Ontario.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
• Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and project scopes.
• Open to transitioning into an on-site position if the role becomes permanent.
