Role overview
This opportunity is for a creative art director to help define the visual world of an independent music artist. The artist’s work is reflective, atmospheric, and emotionally rich, and the aim is to build a unified visual identity that feels cinematic, immersive, and memorable across platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and Spotify.
The role involves turning music, mood, and narrative into a clear visual language. The right person will act as a creative partner in shaping a long-term brand presence that stays consistent in tone, palette, and storytelling while supporting the artist’s evolving journey.
Responsibilities
- Build and refine a distinctive visual identity that complements the artist’s emotional and musical style.
- Develop creative concepts for photo shoots, video assets, and short-form social media content.
- Guide the visual production process and make sure the output stays consistent in tone, color, and story.
- Work closely with the artist to evolve and expand the brand’s visual direction over time.
- Keep the visual presentation aligned across Instagram, TikTok, Spotify, and other digital touchpoints.
- Bring fresh ideas for storytelling that help deepen audience connection and engagement.
Requirements
- Background in art direction, creative direction, or visual branding, preferably in music or entertainment.
- A strong portfolio showing cohesive brand systems and cinematic visual execution.
- Solid grasp of visual storytelling, atmosphere, and color theory.
- Experience overseeing content creation for digital and social channels.
- Ability to translate abstract musical emotion into compelling visual concepts.
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach suited to long-term partnerships.
- Awareness of current music branding and digital content trends.
- Availability for ongoing remote collaboration.
