About the Company and Role
MLabs is a rapidly expanding, venture-backed technology firm revolutionizing the insurance claims industry. By integrating a skilled in-house claims team with state-of-the-art proprietary software, we enable faster claim resolutions and better outcomes, providing a more compassionate experience for policyholders during difficult times. Our operations manage over $200 million in insurance premiums from a diverse set of more than 50 partners, including publicly traded companies, supported by $15 million in funding from leading global venture capitalists.
We are looking for an entrepreneurial and motivated Founding Talent Lead to become our inaugural dedicated recruitment professional. This full-time, on-site position is based in either London or New York City and offers a salary range of $90,000 to $140,000, along with equity and a 15% quarterly bonus.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete recruitment process end-to-end, including creating compelling job descriptions, designing effective interview stages, supporting hiring decisions, extending offers, and closing outstanding candidates.
- Develop and grow talent pipelines through proactive sourcing methods, including reaching out to passive candidates, leveraging professional networks, exploring creative channels, and nurturing long-term relationships.
- Design, build, and continuously improve recruitment systems, processes, and applicant tracking workflows to enable efficient and high-quality talent assessment.
- Create and enhance internal employee referral programs to maximize the benefit from current team networks.
- Collaborate on onboarding processes, help establish human resources procedures, and contribute to early performance management efforts to ensure a smooth transition and strong productivity for new hires.
Candidate Requirements
- Between 2 and 7 years of experience in full-lifecycle recruitment, preferably within fast-paced startup environments.
- Willingness and ability to work full-time, on-site five days per week at the London or New York office.
- Proven aptitude for building recruitment workflows and sourcing processes from the ground up, with flexibility to evolve these systems as organizational needs change.
- Exceptional sourcing skills across various business areas and seniority levels, identifying high-quality talent beyond traditional methods.
- Preferred prior experience recruiting technical roles such as engineers and developers in high-performance technology companies.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with an engaging manner to establish trust, accurately represent the company brand, and attract top-tier candidates.
