Role Overview
Join a community-focused school environment as a Foodservice Worker, responsible for assisting in daily cafeteria operations to provide nutritious meals efficiently and safely for students and staff. This full-time, onsite role is suited for dependable individuals who thrive in team settings and enjoy a routine-oriented work atmosphere.
Key Duties
- Prepare and serve foods adhering to recipes, production records, and health safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety within kitchen and service areas, including sanitation practices.
- Stock and replenish serving lines, salad bars, and milk coolers to ensure availability throughout service.
- Serve meals courteously to students, staff, and visitors while meeting quality and timing requirements.
- Assist with receiving deliveries and organizing kitchen inventory efficiently.
- Perform general housekeeping tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and waste disposal.
- Comply with all local, state, federal, and company health and safety regulations.
- Support coworkers by covering shifts or providing assistance during busy periods.
- Submit required reports on time and execute additional duties as assigned to support school meal programs.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Prior experience in food service or custodial roles is desirable but not mandatory.
- Ability to follow a consistent routine, perform repetitive tasks, and collaborate effectively.
- Basic competencies in arithmetic and computer usage are necessary.
- Must successfully clear background checks and fingerprint screening.
- Possess reliable transportation for commuting purposes.
- Comfortable engaging with children and contributing to a positive school environment.
- Exhibit respect, inclusivity, and professionalism toward colleagues and customers alike.
Physical and Work Conditions
- Capable of standing for full shift durations and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Engage regularly in bending, reaching, walking, and hand use within a dynamic, moderately noisy kitchen setting.
- Work schedule mainly Monday through Friday with occasional extended weeks.
- Must be willing to participate in company meetings or events when necessary.
