Job Overview
The Fire Alarm Technician role involves working across residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities to ensure fire detection and alarm systems function reliably and meet legal safety standards. This position demands strong technical understanding of electrical systems, meticulous attention to detail, and strict compliance with safety procedures.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Install various components of fire alarm systems such as control panels, smoke detectors, heat detectors, pull stations, and notification devices.
- Conduct regular inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance to ensure system operability.
- Identify and repair faults within fire alarm systems and related equipment promptly.
- Program and configure fire alarm control panels according to system requirements.
- Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals accurately.
- Ensure all installations adhere strictly to local fire codes and applicable standards.
- Maintain detailed documentation of inspections, maintenance, and repairs performed.
- Collaborate effectively with clients, contractors, and fire safety inspectors throughout installation and system commissioning phases.
- Provide prompt responses to emergency service calls and address any system failures.
- Manage and maintain tools, equipment, and spare parts inventory efficiently.
Educational Qualifications
- Completion of Higher Secondary education (12th grade or Intermediate)
- Diploma in a relevant technical field
Skills Required
- Proficiency in fire alarm system installation and maintenance
- Knowledge of fire safety regulations and practices
- Strong problem-solving abilities related to system faults and failures
- Experience conducting safety audits and managing safety procedures
- Competence in using and handling various technical tools
Language
- English proficiency is required

- Competitive salary ranging from 1200 to 2200
