Financial Controller

About the Role

We are collaborating with a respected global brand to recruit a Financial Controller to join their finance leadership team based in Dublin. This position offers a significant opportunity for a technically adept and commercially aware accountant to assume a broad management role within a dynamic multinational setting. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the successful candidate will contribute significantly to the enhancement of the finance function and oversee a compact, high-achieving finance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the month-end and year-end closing procedures to guarantee prompt and precise financial reporting.
• Prepare and assess management accounts along with group reporting submissions.
• Ensure robust financial controls and governance by implementing finance policies and procedures.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning efforts.
• Handle statutory financial reporting, tax compliance, and audit processes.
• Deliver financial insights and advice to key business stakeholders.
• Identify and implement improvements to processes, systems, and reporting tools.
• Coach and develop finance team members to enhance their performance.

Candidate Profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with over six years of post-qualification experience.
• Minimum two years of sector experience within a large or multinational corporation.
• Strong expertise in technical accounting and financial reporting.
• Proven experience in leading or mentoring finance teams.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel along with solid knowledge of financial systems; familiarity with business intelligence reporting tools is a plus.
• Commercially driven, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced business environment.
